Guardian March 18th 2006 Robert Clarke.

"The art of Lindsay Seers is as much self-creation as self-expression. Her autobiographical escapades

are both past reflections and future projections. Her alter ego is a ventriloquist's dummy that elucidates Seers' life story through endlessly elliptical dialogues. Her self image is so obsessed by photography that she turns herself into a documentary device that can snap the world from a camera inside her mouth. Elsewhere Seers transforms her body into a projector of imagery. For Seers, the emergence of the photographic image from an ephemeral coincidence of light is pretty creepy. She reminds us that a photographic portrait can steal the soul of its subject. Here she exhibits the photographic, video, sculptural and textual results of her unnerving memories and reveries. On April 15th at Leicester's Y Theatre she will perform an unmissable live version."
